Come Join our Celebration

Started in 1983 as a means to celebrate the completion of a new main street, Thomas Mitchell Days as we know it today continues to evolve.

Some things remain as they were introduced back then – like the parade Saturday morning, the Friday evening barbeque, the Friday afternoon golf tournament, the Saturday afternoon events for all ages, the huge raffle early Saturday evening, and the street dance in downtown Mitchellville Saturday night.

Every year new and exciting opportunities are available for all. They might include community-wide garage sales, a 5K run/walk, open market, children’s spelling bee, horseshoe tournament, and the list goes on
